I am not much of a light traveller. I'm the type of person who brings loads of stuff everywhere I go. Well, I'm pretty sure there are some people who are just like me, and let me tell you something: it's totally normal and you don't have to feel bad about it! That's right. Just because you're not a light traveller, doesn't mean that you will burden yourself with your stuffs. As long as you are able to carry your bags or suitcases around by yourself, you are allowed to bring whatever you like when you're travelling. However, I do have some tips that could ease you up on your trip, especially if you're a heavy traveller just like me, and here they are: 1. Do a precise planning for each day of traveling. This means planning your outfit day by day. So, make sure that you have an outfit for each day of your holiday. For example, if you're traveling for 3 days, then make sure you have 3 outfits for your holiday. Now of course there will be exceptions if the activities you signed up for require you to have back up. In that case, 1 back up outfit for 1 day is enough. For example, you're going to have one whole day out of 3 days holiday on an amusement park, then you'll have to bring 4 outfits with you (3 outfits for each day, and 1 back up outfit). That way, you'll have just enough clothes for your holiday. 2. One pyjama is more than enough! No one's gonna watch you sleep, so just bring one of your favourite pyjamas! This is one way to make some space in your suitcase/bag. Make sure your pyjama is not too thick or too heavy. Don't worry about getting cold in the middle of the night, because the hotel will provide you with a cozy blanket and you can always adjust your room temperature along the way. 3. Pack up almost at last minute. Okay this tip maybe a bit risky, but think of it this way, when you don't have that many time to pack you'll think more efficiently. Meaning that you will only think of the important stuffs to bring. This way there's no time for you to overthink, and there's definitely no time for you to think about useless knick-knacks to bring. 4. Make sure you have enough space in your bag/suitcase to move things around or add up some more stuff from your trip. You may have loads of stuffs to bring, but that's not an excuse for crowded suitcase. You can still make lots of space in your suitcase by neatly placing them in smaller bags or in containers so that you can arrange them neatly in your suitcase. Besides, it's easier to move them around when they're clustered. 5. Always use a backpack as carry-on with loads of storages and a huge space. Trust me, it's gonna save you loads of troubles. Using a backpack liberates both of your hands to do stuffs, and saves you from sore hands. The huge space will give you the luxury to put your essentials (e.g. passport, wallet, tickets, etc) plus some entertainments (e.g. books, camera, pocket game, etc), and the other storages (pouch/pocket) will help you hold the smaller stuffs (e.g. earphones, charger chord, hand sanitiser, etc). 6. Check and re-check Although you're packing at the last minute, you still have to calculate the time precisely for some last minute checking. Make sure that you don't miss anything. After all, you are bringing loads of stuff with you. This is going to help you remember the stuffs when you're packing home. 7. Calculate the weight roughly You don't need a fancy luggage scale or any scale at all to do this! All you have to do is to lift your suitcase and be sure that you're still able to lift it by yourself. If you're able to lift it by yourself, then it's probably still within the weight limit. Simple as that! 8. Wear super comfy but fashionable shoes! This is super duper important. I can't stress this enough. You just need one super comfy shoes that goes with every outfit you picked out. Again, make sure it's super comfy. A comfy shoes could save you loads of time, and loads of leg sores. But, If you still have loads of space in your suitcase, it's okay to bring a pair of back up shoes. For me personally, I always wear my Dr. Martens boots when traveling. They're comfy, they're fashionable, and most importantly, they're waterproof. Although I sometimes bring a pair of back up sneakers just for fun when my suitcase still has lots of space. Well, that's enough tips for one trip! I hope you find these tips helpful. Here are some pictures from my trip to Korea and Singapore. These are just how I apply my own rules for my trips! ;) Oh and one more thing that I forgot to mention, have fun, and have a lovely trip! ;)

People say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, I couldn't agree more! Most days I like my breakfast big and satisfying, with eggs, french toast, sausages, and all that jazz. But I also like my breakfast fresh, tasty, and light some other days. So, approximately a year ago, I tried creating a recipe that could meet my sometimes-light morning appetite. Okay, I would describe this as a savory yet sweet smoked salmon open sandwich, with freshness from the spinach and jam. Not to worry, the name is literally more complicated than how to make it itself, and this is something that you can make in the morning real quick, or bring to the office for a nice lunch. So, I'm not gonna blab around much longer. Let's get right on to the recipe! Smoked Salmon Open Sandwich (1-2 servings, 30-40 minutes) Ingredients:

Well, I really do hope this recipe brings colour to your meal plan! Whether you want to make it for your breakfast or share it with your kids, it doesn't really matter. It's a fresh and healthy way to start up your day! Let me know what you think about this recipe, and please tag me on instagram (@anailas) if you do try out this recipe. Love to hear from you real soon! :D Okay, so last night I went to see the movie 'Victor Frankenstein' all by myself. At first I wasn't sure about watching it in a movie theatre just because I haven't really heard any hype about it, but for some reason this move has compelled me since the first time I saw the poster on Blitzmegaplex. So, I decided to look it up, and I found the movie description. Let me tell you what I found, the description was that it's a horror movie. I was definitely intrigued, so I read more of it. When I read it, I found that I might like it. Then I went to the theatre and bought the ticket for myself with a bit of nervous feeling. Don't get me wrong, this is not exactly my first time watching a movie by myself, and I do like it a lot. But to think that the movie is gonna be haunting me for days gave me just a slight chills. Now the movie itself turned out to be just fine, or at least for me it was. I was pleased to know that the movie was, after all, a fresh different twist of the classic 'Frankenstein' tale, and I like the fact that it was somewhat scientific. Although, I must warn you that it did remind me a bit of the 'Sherlock Holmes' movie (the one with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law) with that old, gloomy, mysterious vibe going on throughout the movie. I don't wanna give out too much detail on the movie though. Otherwise the post should be marked with 'SPOILER ALERT!'. Well, all and all, I think it's a good movie, and definitely worth going to the movie theatre for. Anyway, for those of you who haven't seen the movie, I will give you a preview. So, I'm gonna put the trailer right here where everybody can see. Well then, without further ado, here is the trailer for the amazing 'Victor Frankenstein'! I am open for any comments. So, what are you waiting for? Tell me what you think about this movie. I'm sure you have a different angle on the movie. Hope to hear from you real soon! Love, Nai <3 |
